Christina Streit

Christina Streit grew up fishing the deep blue sea off the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Her rod of choice was a piece of bamboo with a big hook covered in squid hanging off the end; a far cry from the sport she loves now. When she met her husband Nick she quickly learned she would have to take up fly fishing to be allowed into the Streit clan. After the initial shock of the size of the fish (a little on the small side, she thought) she was hooked.



Christina now runs the Taos Fly Shop along with her husband Nick. She has even wet her feet guiding, taking women groups on fly fishing excursions. When she isn't on the water giving the boys a run for their money, Christina can be found in the shop, helping others to better fishing.
