Our fall hours are from 8 to 5 pm mon - sat and 8 am to 3 pm sunday.
We now have access to fish the famous upper Brazos Meadows. Call for guide availability...
The Rio Grande is low and fishing great! Lots of browns are out and feeding and the big bows are there too, hiding in the seams and fast currents. Our guided trips into the box have been doing great and we do have some guides available for the month of October. We are pretty much booked up for the rest of september though we have a few openings... Otherwise, try tungsten nymphs in size 14-18 behind a big dry or indicator.
The Valle Vidal continues to be good. The water is down and fish are taking dries well. Standard stuff is still working there but expect to see more BWO's in the next few weeks. The Shuree Ponds have been good, especially out of a float tube. Fish can be picky though, come into the shop for some patterns that have been working well up there.
The Rio Hondo has been good, especially along hwy 150. Attractor dries are usually the ticket- that and a short rod for all the brush! We have some great small stream rods as light as 000 weight in the shop...
Our private water on the Conejos has been good this week and with more cool weather in the forecast, we should see some good fishing there.
The Cimmaron has been good. Look for more Baetis and fewer Tricos. This means prime time for fsihing there changes from am to mid-day.
The Red has cleared up a great deal (though after thunderstorms it will get muddy)and should be somewhat fishable now though it is still high. Fishing has been good for stockers with dry-dropper rigs.
The Los Pinos should continue to be good this week.
Chama area streams are still good though muddy after thunderstorms. Fishing has been good overall. Try Hopper/dropper rigs.
Our private ponds in Chama are fishing very well.
